Westlife singer Mark Feehily and his husband, Cailean O’Neill are to welcome their first child via surrogacy, the couple have announced
The news was revealed via Mark’s Instagram account (@Markusmoments) with an image of the couple holding a scan photo of their precious bundle and a baby grow.
The 39-year-old, who is believed to be marrying Cailean this summer, announced the news to mark his birthday celebrations.
He said: “It really makes this the best birthday ever to let everyone know that later this year we will become dads for the first time. This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud.”
The baby will be the tenth to be welcomed into the Westlife family, with band members Shane, Kian and Nicky all having three children with their wives respectively.
Many of the singer’s 155,000 followers congratulated the couple, who have yet to reveal further details about their surrogacy journey.
The couple have been together six years and plan to marry in the Maldives
Mark said in a recent interview he was keen to become a father.
