Kim Cotton was Britain’s first commercial surrogate mother giving birth in Jan 1985 to a little girl known as Baby Cotton.
The birth caused a furore in the press and six months later, knee jerk laws were rushed through Parliament to ban commercial surrogacy in the UK.
In 1988 Kim founded COTS, Childlessness Overcome Through Surrogacy in an attempt to help others achieve their dream.
In 1992 she gave birth to twins via host surrogacy for friends.
COTS is celebrating its 30th Anniversary and to date has helped 1039 surrogate babies to be born.
